Ongole: The TDP came out of the National Democratic Alliance and joined hands with the Congress only to continue the corruption, alleged Union Minister of State for Finance Shiv Pratap Shukla. He participated in the meeting of BJP Shakti Kendra Pramukh from Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts held here on Tuesday.
Shukla said that while NT Rama Rao, the founder of TDP, wanted to remove Congress from the State, Narendra Modi wanted a Congress-free India. He said Modi also promised to not let any corruption in his government. But Chandrababu Naidu, who joined them to make the state and country free from Congress went back on his word and joined hands with the same Congress as Modi was asking for the accounts and not allowing corruption by the TDP government.
He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was wasting public money in the name of protests against the Union government and Narendra Modi and telling lies that there was no cooperation from them in the development of the State. He said the Union government has given Rs 17,690 crore in 2014-15, Rs 9,930 crore in 2015-16, Rs 12,928 crore in 2016-17, Rs 12,125 crore in 2017-18 and Rs 9,492 crore in 2018-19, amounting to a total of Rs 62,165 crore in the last five years.
He said that the recently formed states like Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and others were not receiving to the volume of funds being given to Andhra Pradesh, yet Chandrababu was blaming the Modi.
Shukla said that Andhra Pradesh was like a heart to the country and the BJP government was committed to its development. He said that when the Union government offered a special package to the state, Naidu praised the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and accepted it. He questioned Naidu that what forced him except the corruption by his ministers in the government and his son to change his mind.
He said the union government was extending all help to the state by allocating national institutions and other organisations. He said that if BJP workers work hard, they could also make AP free from corrupt Chandrababu Naidu as Narendra Modi was making the country free from Congress.
AP BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana, party in-charge Muralidharan, SC Cell in charge Sunil Deodar, Mahila Morcha president Daggubati Purandheswari, MP GVL Narasimharao and Prakasam district BJP president PV Krishnareddy participated in the meeting.
