Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (APRERA) chairman Velamati Ramnath received Digital India Award from Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Law and Justice Ravi Sankara Prasad on Friday in New Delhi. The award was given for the exemplary online services from the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Government of India.

The Digital India Awards have been instituted under the ambit of the National Portal of India to promote more innovative e-governance initiatives. The awards also aim to spread awareness about such initiatives.

Exemplary Online Services award is given to those ICT based services by a government department (Central/State) which displayed exemplary citizen focus, reach, scope and innovation in approach.

The service has been effectively contributed to enhancement in efficiency, productivity as well as in imparting transparency and accountability in the governance process.

APRERA established an online facility to register Real Estate Projects, Agents and Complaints.

The website www.rera.ap.gov.in provides comprehensive information about all the activities APRERA. It also guides the users to make better use of the site as well as APRERA.

APRERA CTO P Sreedhar also represented APRERA at the awards function.
