Guntur: Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) chairman D Lakshmi Parthasaradhi directed the officials to take up immediately Krishna river Karakatta works at Tadapalli in Guntur district.
She conducted a review meeting at Nursery at Venkatapalem in Guntur district. The ADC has taken steps to widen the Karakatta from 7 metres to 25 metres to meet increasing needs of the traffic.
It may be mentioned here that after Amaravati became state capital, vehicular movement on the Krishna Karakatta increased.
She directed the officials to solve land acquisition problems, if any. She also reviewed the progress of the works 1, 17 and 19 package works.
Amaravati Development Corporation chief engineer Moses Kumar, superintendent engineer MV Surya Narayana were among those present.
