Shanghai auto show to ban sexy models, An organizing committee of the Shanghai auto show has planned to ban female models especially in over-revealing costumes from their upcoming car trade shows.
Beijing: An organizing committee of the Shanghai auto show has planned to ban female models especially in over-revealing costumes from their upcoming car trade shows.
The authorities of biannual Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition that is being scheduled for April, 2015 disclosed their recent amendment that they will not showcase female models with automobiles this year as to restore the essence of the exhibition and provide a more civilized atmosphere, then being just a flesh show, China Daily reported.
Yang Xueliang, spokesman for Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, said that the organizer informed them that the female will not be hired at this year's Shanghai automobile show, as specially the young customers doesn't show interest because of the quality of the automobile instead they get attracted because of the scantily dressed models.
Lyu Sixian, an agent at a modeling company in Shanghai, on a contrary expressed that it will not only affect the agents but also the models as many of them live their life on car shows, but now the models that were booked already will be given compensation.
Sixian explained that it is not the models who want to wear the over-revealing clothing, but the companies that hire them.
