Hyderabad: Michelin is planning to open three new mega truck servicing centres around the city. The global tyre major has opened its first MTSC (Michelin Truck Service Centre) on Monday and the new centres which will come up by the year-end will take its network to four.

The MTSC is one-stop shop for truck servicing. It is equipped with state of the art facilities including equipment for computerized truck tyre alignment, tyre balancing and tyre repair. Each centre offers end to end tyre-related services for trucks.

“As we expand our MTSC network in the country, we aim to reach out to our customers and educate them about choosing the right radial tyre,” said Mohan Kumar, Managing Director, Michelin India Private Limited.

The new MTSC centre is set up in association with local partner, Sushil Truck & Bus Wheel Care, at Bachupally on the city outskirts. Spread over 3400 sq yards, it one of the largest centres in the country.

“This new centre is well-positioned to offer transporters and fleet owners peace of mind knowing they can obtain professional service,” Kumar said, adding that the company would open three more centres at strategic locations around the city.

Based at Clermont-Ferrand in France, Michelin is present in 170 countries, has around 111,200 employees and operates 68 production plants in 17 different countries.
