The 2016 Suzuki Access 125 automatic scooter with a comprehensive redesign has been unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo which opened its doors today at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The new version of the scooter would go on sale in the coming days.
The new design aims to impart a classic appeal to the brisk selling 125 cc runabout. The new squarish headlamp gets a chrome embellishment while the reprofiled apron houses elongated turn indicators. The rear fascia gets fresh taillight cluster with clear lens indicators while the engine cover gets sleeker.
The redesigned instrument console has a white background. The inner side of the front apron offers a useful cubby hole of the left and a hook in the steering column cover. The seat too have been tweaked to go well with the rest of the design.
Under the skin, the successful premium scooter continues untouched. The 124 cc single-cylinder 4-stroke air-cooled engine is mated to a CVT to produce 8.58 hp at 7,500 rpm and 9.8 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm.
Like its predecessor, the 2016 Access 125 comes with front telescopic fork and single sided rear coil spring suspension system. The top-end variant will get alloy wheels as well.
The 2016 Suzuki Access 125 is expected to go on sale in a few weeks with a price tag of around INR 60,000. Competition would come from the likes of Honda Activa 125, Mahindra Gusto 125 and Vespa SXL 125.
