Delhi: Maruti Suzuki Celerio Cross, a beefed up version of the Celerio hatchback makes its entry at the 2016 Auto Expo. With pseudo-crossovers based on hatchbacks fast gaining popularity in India, Maruti Suzuki India Limited presents the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio Cross at 2016 Auto Expo. Based on the Celerio hatchback, Celerio Cross sports an overall muscular stance. It gets all round body cladding thus giving the Celerio Cross a more imposing presence.

Developed entirely on the same platform as seen on its hatchback counterpart, Maruti Suzuki Celerio Cross AMT also gets tweaked suspension and increased ground clearance.

To give the new Celerio Cross a more premium appearance, the company has redesigned the front bumper which now includes a black section at the bottom adding to a wider front end while black side mirrors and turn indicators are also added. Rear features a floating roof spoiler and a rear windscreen wiper. It also gets a chrome strip above the license plate.

Engine option on offer remains same in the form of 998 cc petrol engine generating 67 bhp and 90 nm torque. This engine is mated to an AMT gearbox giving mileage of 23.1 kmpl. Equipment list on offers remains same as that seen on the top of the line ZXi variant. Interiors get an all-black treatment with leather seat covers.

Besides Maruti Suzuki Celerio Cross, the company is also displaying the new Vitara Brezza compact SUV, the new Ignis based on the iM-4 concept, and the Baleno RS a more powerful variant of the Baleno.
