Fiat has revealed that the new Fiat Linea 125s, currently on show at the Auto Expo 2016 will be launched in India later this year. To be offered in a single shade of Sapphire Blue, the new Fiat Linea 125s sports 16” alloy wheels, rain sensing wipers, automatic dual projector headlamps and rear parking sensors.

Fiat has revealed that the new Fiat Linea 125s, currently on show at the Auto Expo 2016 will be launched in India later this year. To be offered in a single shade of Sapphire Blue, the new Fiat Linea 125s sports 16” alloy wheels, rain sensing wipers, automatic dual projector headlamps and rear parking sensors. ORVMs fitted with indicators are also a part of the vehicles exterior features while a glossy horizontal black grille is also to be seen.

Fiat Linea 125s receives some interior updates in the form of a 5” touchscreen infotainment system, ambient lighting, satellite navigation, cruise control and safety features that include ABS and EBD along with dual airbags.

Where engine specifications on board the Fiat Linea 125s is concerned, it will be a 1.4 liter T-Jet petrol engine offering 125 PS peak power at 5,000 rpm and 210 Nm peak torque at 2,200 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. This engine is not new and is the same engine that also powers the Fiat Punto Abarth and 595 Competizione which has been tweaked for added performance on the Linea 125s.

Once launched in India, this will become the most powerful Fiat Linea on offer. It will also become the most powerful in its class of petrol powered sedans, competing with the likes of Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento.

The current Fiat Linea is priced from INR 9.75 lakhs while the new Fiat Linea 125s could demand a slightly higher price. Fiat Linea 125s with its added features and tweaked engine could compete with the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Vento once launched in India.
