Based on VW’s advanced MQB platform, 2016 Skoda Superb is the best Skoda has built till date. Fit enough to win luxury car of 2016 award, new Skoda Superb not only comes with exciting and sporty exteriors but is also the ultimate in space on the inside and offers perfect comfort to its passengers.

Featuring a coupe-like design, new Skoda Superb is 4,861 mm in length, 1,864 mm in width and 1,468 mm in height. This means that the new Superb is longer and wider than ever before, contributing to a more spacious cabin with more headroom and legroom. Though larger in dimensions, new Skoda Superb is 75 kgs lighter than before.

Exteriors of new Skoda Superb feature projector headlights with illuminated eyelashes styled LED DRLs and a chiseled grille with their new logo. The side profile has got sleeker and aerodynamic while the rear features a new set of crystal cut LED tail lights and revised bumper design with rear deck lid spoiler. Overall, Skoda says that the design exudes style, strength, and dynamics. The teaser video below also confirms that India will get the top of the line, more luxurious Laurin & Klement edition with 17-inch alloys and boarding spot lamps (puddle lamps) on the electric ORVMs.

On the inside, new Superb features dual tone dashboard stitched in soft leather. The dashboard also gets piano black decor with ambient lighting, giving it a very premium touch. Steering wheel, seats and the gear knob too get soft leather premium cover. On the dashboard is a 6.5-inch colour touchscreen with SmartLink connectivity. It also comes with satellite navigation, reverse parking camera, 610 Watt Canton sound system with 12 speakers, panoramic sunroof, 12-way electrically adjustable driver seat with programmable memory, boss button for front passenger seat so that rear passengers can increase legroom as and when needed, front ventilated seats, WiFi hotspot, three-way climate control, 3 zone climatronic auto AC with rear vents, 8 airbags etc.

Engine options on offer with new Skoda Superb include a 1.8-liter TSI petrol offering 180 PS and 250 Nm power and torque respectively and 2.0 TDI diesel engine capable of 190 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque, mated to both seven-speed DSG gearbox. New Skoda Superb comes with the tag line – Best in Next Class.
