The V8 S variant features quite a few cosmetic enhancements to better differentiate it from the regular V8 model. The Bentley Continental Flying Spur V8 S, a new mid-level variant of the luxury-barge-on-wheels, made its global debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Apart from the new variant, the Flying Spur lineup receives model year updates.

The Continental V8 S uses the entry level model’s 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 petrol engine but puts out 528 PS which is a good 21 PS more. The torque output stands at 680 Nm. Bentley says that the motor and transmission have been tweaked to deliver more usable torque at the bottom end to better differentiate the new variant from the regular V8 model. A rear-biased all-wheel drive system harnesses the outputs.

The stately luxury saloon is claimed to accelerate from rest to ton in just 4.9 seconds. The V8 S is capable of clocking a top speed of 306 kmph. Despite the impressive performance on offer, the limousine has a claimed fuel efficiency of 10.9 l/100 km.

Visually, the Continental Flying Spur V8 S is differentiated from the rest of the lineup by means of a black-finished grille, Beluga rear diffuser with glossy black treatment, exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone leather seats, piano black wood veneers and contrast roof centre bow and so on.
