The Honda CR-V Black Edition for Europe has been introduced at 2016 Geneva Motor Show. As the name suggests, the premium SUV is kitted up with myriad of black elements inside out.

The special edition variant of the world’s best selling SUV uses glossy black grille insert instead of chrome, a skid plate with a similar finish and 19-inch black alloy wheels. A side running board, rear roof spoiler and glossy black diffuser round off the exterior enhancements.

Not surprisingly, the interior is all-black, with special leather upholstery for seats with contrast stitching and embossed Black Edition logo. The steering and gear lever are wrapped in leather. The premium floor carpets too carry Black Edition logo.

The Honda CR-V Black Edition is available only in the 4×4 variants but both petrol and diesel engines are on offer. The 2.0-litre i-VTEC petrol engine produces 155 PS at 6,500 rpm while the 1.6-litre i-DTEC petrol engine makes for 160 PS at 4,000 rpm. The 4WD petrol variant is available with a 5-speed automatic transmission while the oil burner can be had with a 6-speed manual transmission and 9-speed automatic transmission.

The prices for the Honda CR-V Black Edition have not been revealed yet but expect the details to be out shortly. The special variant is expected to go on sale in Europe in the coming weeks.
