First launched in India last year, the new Hyundai i20 Active has now gone on display at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Euro-spec Hyundai i20 Active is being manufactured in Turkey, along with the hatchback offering.

The Euro-spec Hyundai i20 Active looks similar to the i20 Active on offer in India. It features silver skid plates, a rugged bumper, circular fog lights, projector headlamps with LED DRL elements, blacked out C-pillar, roof racks, black lower body cladding, wheel arch cladding, rear fog lights and new alloy wheel design.

Euro-spec i20 Active features a touchscreen AVN. Power comes from a new Kappa 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged GDI (direct injection) petrol motor tuned for two outputs: 100 PS and 120 PS. The engine will also power other i20 variants in Europe.

This compact pseudo-crossover is designed to look more aggressive upfront when compared to the five-door hatch it’s based on.

In India, the Hyundai i20 Active is available with a choice of petrol and diesel engines, but not the 1.0-liter TSI which is on offer in Europe. India-spec i20 Active interiors feature sportier colour accents matching that of the exterior colour, which is not seen on the Euro-Spec i20 Active.
