New Volkswagen Tiguan, Tiguan R-Line features at Geneva Motor Show
The VW Tiguan will go on sale across Europe starting with Germany from April 2016.The new VW Tiguan and sportier Tiguan R-Line are being showcased at 2016 Geneva Motor Show which is also hosting the new T-Cross Breeze concept. The 2016 Tiguan made its first public appearance at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA).

New VW Tiguan
The latest iteration of the Tiguan is the first VW SUV to be based on the ultra versatile MQB front-wheel drive architecture. To go on sale across Europe by May this year, the Tiguan adopts the brand’s latest design philosophy which is composed of neat lines and bolder elements. The latest version will also be available in a longer 7-seat derivative in the near future.
The crossover employs a wide range of 8 engines – turbo petrols and diesels – with outputs ranging from 115 PS to 240 PS. Both manual and automatic gearboxes are on offer while the higher variants benefit from 4Motion Active Control system. The new gen model also gets a whole host of safety assistance systems such as Front Assist with City Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Monitoring, Lane Assist and Automatic Post-Collision Braking.''
New VW Tiguan R-Line
Opting for the R-Line package spruces up the Tiguan’s exterior with Sebring 19-inch alloy wheels (20-inch Suzaka wheels are optional), body colored elements (except the wheel arches), sportier bumper with gloss black aerodynamic components, a rear diffuser, dual-tone roof rails, and a roof spoiler.
Inside, the R-Line package adds microfibre cloth upholstery (optional Vienna leather), R-Line branded aluminium door sill plates, Crystal Grey decorative stitching, stainless steel pedals, leather wrapped steering with R-Line logo, black headliner and special trims.
