Maruti Suzuki Baleno is a global car which was first launched in India back in October 2015.Maruti Suzuki India has announced that they have crossed 1 lakh mark in registering bookings for the new Baleno premium hatchback. Maruti Suzuki Baleno was launched in India back in October 2015 and is available today at a price range of INR 5.5 lakh to INR 8.5 lakh.
Offered with both petrol and diesel engine options, Maruti Suzuki Baleno is a premium mid-size hatchback which has been launched primarily to take on the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, VW Polo, and Honda Jazz.
Sales reports until now have been convincing enough as the Baleno is battling with the i20 to be a clear leader in the segment. Of the four full months for which the Baleno has been on sale, it has managed to beat i20 only once, back in December 2015. However, Baleno has successfully taken slot no 2 in the segment.
Offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine options which are already seen on board the Swift, Baleno is more efficient thanks to new design language and new lightweight chassis. New engine options for Baleno will be launched at a later date in the form of 1.0 liter BoosterJet 3-cyl engine which generates 110 PS and 170 Nm.
India is the global manufacturing hub for the Baleno. This has allowed MSIL to become the first car maker in India to export India-made car to Japan. In addition to that, India-made Baleno is all set to be launched in Europe by June 2016. Currently, it is on display at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
