Merely days after its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show, the Toyota C-HR has been spotted at Toyota’s Turkish plant, indicating that the trial production commenced already.

Merely days after its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show, the Toyota C-HR has been spotted at Toyota’s Turkish plant, indicating that the trial production commenced already.

The spotting also confirms that the Nissan Juke rival will be available with optional dual-tone color options. The radical exterior design features a tapering rear fascia, coupe like profile with hidden and a fresh front fascia.

The funky interior gets a simple centre console layout with a touchscreen infotainment system perched on top. The crossover is packed with usual safety and assistance systems.

Based on the TNGA (Toytoa New Global Architecture) which debuted in the new gen Prius, the Toytoa C-HR is available with three powertrain options – 1.2-, 1.8- and 2.0-litre petrol engines, all mated to a CVT. The first two engine variants are made at Turkey while the hybrid powertrain will me made at the UK plant.

The Toyota C-HR will be picking up a fight with the likes of Nissan Juke, Hyundai Creta (ix25), Peugeot 2008, production version of the VW T-Cross, etc. The car will go on sale in Europe in a phased manner, commencing in the next few weeks.
