Launched in Indonesia, Honda BR-V is soon to be launched in India this year. In anticipation of the launch, Honda Cars India today kicked-off a new innovative marketing campaign called #WhereNextWithBRV.

As the hashtag suggests, the basic idea is to get fans and consumers on social media excited about the product by posting the question “Where do you want to go next with BR-V”. Based on the response from their fans on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, Honda will take their new BR-V to various locations over the next 20 days.

Already showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, the new Honda crossover shares underpinnings with Brio, Amaze, and Mobilio. Purpose-built and designed for emerging markets like India, Thailand, and Indonesia, Honda BR-V is a seven-seater crossover which will be offered with three row seating arrangement.

Engine options on offer will be the same as that of existing Honda City. These are in the form of 1.5-liter iVTEC generating 118 PS power and a 1.5-liter iDTEC diesel engine generating 100 PS. Transmission options on the petrol engine includes 5 speed MT or a CVT, while that on diesel engine we might get the 5 MT or 6 MT.

Speaking about highlights, Honda BR-V comes with projector headlamps with LED DRLs, stylish chrome grille, skid plates in the front and rear, plastic cladding, 16 inch alloys, auto headlamps, rear windscreen wiper, all black / dual tone interiors, leather upholstery, multimedia touchscreen system with navigation and reverse parking camera, Magic Seats (as seen on Jazz) for second row, etc.

More details will be revealed closer to launch date. Speaking about price and rivals, we expect the Honda BR-V to start in the range of INR 8-9 lakh and will rival the likes of Hyundai Creta.
