Nepal gets a glimpse of Mahindra KUV100 priced at Rs 16.87 lakhs

The fully loaded variant would set you back by NPR 36,45,000 (around INR 22.85 lakhs). The cars will be shipped from Mahindra’s Chakan plant near Pune as CBUs. Like in India, the KUV100 doesn’t have a direct rival in the Nepalese market and hence would be attempting to lure the prospective B-segment hatchback buyers.
The KUV100 for Nepal is available with both petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2-litre three-cylinder G80 petrol motor dishes out 82 bhp at 5,500 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 3,500 – 3,600 rpm. The oil burner is also a three-cylinder 1.2-litre unit. The motor generates 77 bhp at 3,750 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 1,750 – 2,250 rpm. Both motors are mated to 5-speed manual gearbox which has its lever located on the dashboard.
The mini SUV is equipped with standard ABS and collapsible steering column. The top-end K8 trim offers dual airbags, power windows, central locking, electrically adjustable ORVM, Follow-me-Home headlamps, puddle lamp, multimedia infotainment system and multifunction steering wheel.
The Mahindra KUV100 can be specified either as a 6-seater (with front bench seats) or a conventional 5-seater.
