Polaris India has launched the all-new 2016 Indian Springfield for the Indian market at Rs 30.6 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Indian Springfield is named after the birthplace of Indian Motorcycle and is a new addition to the company’s 2016 line-up for India.

The company has already initiated bookings for the new Indian, with deliveries promised from August this year. The new Indian will be available with two colour options.

Commenting on the launch of the Indian Springfield, Pankaj Dubey managing director of Polaris India, said, "the new addition offers a mix of touring comfort and urban versatility through its blend of classic styling and comprehensive modern technology.

"The launch is part of the company’s strategy to introduce products which would help Indian Motorcycle grow in India," he added. The company claims that the Indian Springfield can deliver 138.9 Nm of torque at 2,600 rpm with the Thunder Stroke 111 engine.

The bike, Indian Motorcycle says, can handle both on- and off-road riding and gets electronic cruise control.. The chassis features cartridge forks and an air-adjustable rear shock.

The bike gets a bespoke quick-release windshield, remote locking hard bags, and adjustable passenger floorboards. For safety, the new Indian gets anti-lock brakes.
