The crossover is based on a shortened version of the Global C-Platform.The new Maruti Vitara Brezza TVC has been released recently as the automaker is going full-throttle with its marketing campaign for the crossover. The sub-4 m SUV has already garnered well over 40,000 bookings as of last week.

The video which features several athletes promotes the Vitara as a very sporty crossover with glamor quotient. Maruti’s first homegrown product targets a young urban audience base. Features like touchscreen infotainment system, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, alloy wheels, electrically controlled ORVMs, start-stop button, multi-function steering wheel and configurable instrument console backlight etc., are also highlighted in the video.

The Vitara Brezza is available only with the 1.3-litre DDiS 200 diesel motor as of now. The Fiat-sourced motor dishes out 90 PS and 200 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission propels the front wheels. The company officials had gone on recorder earlier to say that a petrol variant is currently under development.

The Vitara Brezza is based on the Global C-Platform which also underpins the Euro-spec Vitara. The front overhang of the architecture has been shortened in order to tuck the Brezza under the crucial 4 m mark.

Priced between INR 6.99 lakhs and 9.68 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Maruti Vitara Brezza locks horns with the Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TUV300 and NuvoSport.
