What's so different about Hyundai Xcent 20th Anniversary Special Edition?

The special edition model receives a touch screen infotainment system.The Hyundai Xcent 20th Anniversary Special Edition which celebrates the South Korean automaker’s 2 decades of existence in India has been spotted shortly before the launch. The Xcent special edition is expected to be accompanied by a similarly equipped Grand i10 special edition.

The limited edition Xcent comes with cosmetic upgrades such as chrome slats for the front grille and secondary air dam, body decals, rear spoiler with integrated brake light and a chrome strip on the strip on the boot lid. The boot lid also carries the “20th Anniversary Special Edition” badge.

The car features steel wheels with alloy wheel-like hubcaps indicating that the special edition is based on the mid variant. Enhancement to the interior comes in the form of a Blaupunkt touchscreen infotainment system. We expect the system to incorporate reverse parking camera.

The Xcent 20th Anniversary Special Edition will be offered with an existing engine option. The 1.2-litre four-cylinder Kappa 2 petrol engine produces 83 PS and 114 Nm of torque. The 1.1-litre three-cylinder U2 diesel engine is capable of 70 PS and 180 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard across the range while the petrol motor can also be specified with a 4-speed autobox.

The Hyundai Xcent 20th Anniversary Special Edition will be available in limited numbers.
