Maruti Suzuki is all set to enter into the Light Commercial Vehicle segment with the launch of its Super Carry LCV. The company has started exporting the Super Carry to International markets by dispatching the first slot of 100 units of the LCV to South Africa and Tanzania. The export will be further expanded to other SAARC markets too by Maruti.

Maruti Suzuki is all set to enter into the Light Commercial Vehicle segment with the launch of its Super Carry LCV. The company has started exporting the Super Carry to International markets by dispatching the first slot of 100 units of the LCV to South Africa and Tanzania. The export will be further expanded to other SAARC markets too by Maruti.

Globally, the Super Carry will get a 1196cc 4-cylinder G12B Petrol engine which currently powers the Indian Eeco model of Maruti. The engine produces 71bhp of peak power @ 6000rpm and 101Nm of peak torque @ 3000rpm. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed Manual gearbox.

The Indian launch of Super Carry is expected to be in the second half of 2016. Powering the Indian Super Carry will be the same E08 diesel engine of Celerio offering 47bhp and 125Nm of maximum power and torque output respectively. This engine will get mated only to a 4-speed Manual transmission gearbox. Maruti will retail the super carry through separate retail channel in India. Once launched, Super Carry will take on the likes of Tata Ace and Mahindra Maxximo.
