Stylish Datsun Redi-Go at just INR 2.3 lakhs?

Price of the new Datsun redi-GO is reportedly going to start from INR 2.39 lakh.Datsun Redi-Go is the brand’s third car for India, after Go hatchback and Go+ MPV. Cheapest of them all, redi-GO has been developed for the first time car buyers in the entry level segment.

To be launched on the 7th of June, redi-GO price will start from INR 2.39 lakh, ex-showroom. It will compete with the likes of Hyundai Eon, Renault Kwid and India’s best selling car, Maruti Alto 800.

Ahead of the launch, brochure of the redi-GO small car has been leaked. As per the leaked brochure, Datsun will offer the red-GO in five variants – D, A T, T(O) and S. Each of this variant will be powered by a 800 cc three cylinder petrol engine generating 54 PS and 72 Nm torque. It will be mated to a five speed manual transmission.

Based on Renault-Nissan Alliance’ CMF-A platform, redi-GO shares a lot with its cousin Renault Kwid. What has allowed Datsun India to keep redi-Go’s price competitive, is its high level of localization, a staggering 98%.

Apart from an affordable price tag, what Datsun is hoping will work as USP is the modern design of Redi-GO. To add further spark, Datsun will offer a total of five styling kits. These are – Easy Kit – Sporty, Easy Kit – Premium, Kool Kit, Urban Kit and Style Kit.

Entry level Datsun Redi-Go will get black coloured steel wheels, only driver side mirror, fabric seat cloth, integrated headrests, fixed rear seats, rear door child lock, MID on instrument console, three point safety seat belts.

In addition to the D, it also gets AC, passenger side ORVM, steel wheels silver colour, body coloured bumpers, glovebox with lid, chrome accents on grille, power socket, engine immobilizer, digital tachometer, premium fabric upholstery, foldable rear seat.

In addition to A, it gets, body-coloured door handles, piano finish on centre console, full wheel covers, power steering, speakers, mobile docking station, DTE.In addition to T, this one features front power windows and music system with CD, AUX, AM/FM, USB player.Top of the line Redi-Go gets LED DRLs as foglamps and driver airbag.
