Mercedes Benz C Class gets a new Cabriolet with petrol, diesel options

The soft top 2017 Mercedes Benz C Class Cabriolet was unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. The car is on offer across Europe in a range of petrol and diesel engine options. Base price starts from €42,215 (US$47,869/INR 32,05,090) and goes upto €59,767 (US$ 67,773 / INR 45,38,754) for the C400 4MATIC.

Offered with a host of personalization options, the new C Class Cabriolet receives 6 petrol and 2 diesel options. It also comes with 13 different upholstery options. The fabric soft top opens and shuts in 20 seconds at speeds upto 50 kmph and is offered in a choice of 4 colors.

Where engine choices on board the 2017 Mercedes Benz C Class Cabriolet is concerned, petrol options include a 156 hp engine seen on the C180 going all the way upto 333 hp on board the C400 4Matic.

The 2.2 liter diesel 4 cylinder engines are offered in two guises ranging from 170 hp seen on the C220d and 204 hp offered on the C250d. All engines are mated to 9 speed 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox while buyers opting for all wheel drive system receive the 4Matic option.

2017 Mercedes Benz C Class Cabriolet abounds in safety features. These include Mercedes Benz Intelligent Drive Concept with Attention Assist warning drivers of inattentiveness. It also gets Collision Prevention Assist Plus, Adaptive Brake Assist and Distronic Plus with Steering Assist. Lane Assist, Parking Assist and knee, thorax/pelvic and window airbags are also offered on the new C Class Cabriolet.
