Ferrari is likely to adopt a slightly different aero package to suit what could be one of the world’s fastest convertibles. The design is expected to be largely similar to the coupe.
The Spider is expected to carry forward the coupe’s running gears as they are.
Needless to say, the topless LaFerrari will have rollover protection hoops that are integrated into the seat backrests. The absence of roof is set to heighten the aural pleasure by several notches.
The LaFerrari Spider is expected to be powered by the same 6.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 petrol engine which is assisted by HY-KERS motor. The combined power output stands at 963 PS while the torque output exceeds 900 Nm. The car can catapult to 200 kmph from rest in 7 seconds.
Only 499 units of the LaFerrari coupes were sold.Like its coupe sibling, the LaFerrari Spider will be a highly exclusive model which will be sold in limited numbers to select customers. Ferrari has already started approaching discerning customers and this indicates that the car will be unveiled in the coming months.
The Paris Motor Show which is set to commence in the first week of October appears to be the venue for LaFerrari Spider’s world premiere.
