High Court order of October 1, 2015 had restrained persons selling products on ebay under Royal Enfield, Bullet and other Eicher trademarks.Delhi High Court has warned eBay of violation of the 2015 order which bars the e-commerce website from selling products under any name similar to those under the gambit of Eicher Motors Limited.

While ebay was warned of violating this order, a subsequent interim order on October 2015 was also passed while the court sought notice to the internet based company seeking a response before August 24 for violation of interim order.

The sale of products under any name coined by Eicher Motors Ltd, makers of Royal Enfield motorbikes will be viewed as a serious offence and violation of court order and includes all biking gear and items sporting the company trademark on www.ebay.in.

This interim order was filed following Royal Enfield stance that despite the court order Saurabh Katar and Kuldeep Singh continued to sell various products on the e-commerce site sporting trademarks of ‘Royal Enfield’, ‘Bullet’ and ‘Made like a Gun’ and were cheating customers with these fake products passing them off as originals from the bike makers.

These items besides including bike care products also included items of clothing such as riding and rain gear, caps, t-shirts, jeans, trousers, jackets, gloves, helmets, boots, shoes and also items such as mugs, key chains and bike covers.
