Tata has a comprehensive lineup up in its pipeline.Armed with new mission, vision, and values, Tata Motors is working intensely to put its passenger vehicle business back in the front line. The company aims to become one of the top 3 automakers in the domestic market by 2019.

According to an Overdrive report, Tata Motors is working on six new products apart from the ones that were showcased at this year’s Auto Expo. While news about a premium hatchback codenamed X451 and premium SUV twins codenamed Q501 and Q502 are already out, OD reports that are also a pair of MPVs codenamed X601 and X602 in addition to a sedan version of the X451 in the pipeline.

The X601 and X602 MPVs are expected to replace the aging Sumo and Movus in the price sensitive segment. The duo will rival the likes of Mahindra TUV300 and Bolero. There are also likely to cover the Maruti Ertiga and Honda Mobilio. Given that the van-style body is not highly sought after anymore, the MPV twins are expected to sport SUV-ish design elements.

Not much about the new products are known as of now but they are expected to feature sub-2.0-litre engines. The X601 and X602 are expected to sport similar design themes and equipment with different seating configurations.

All the 6 products are expected to be market ready in the 2017-2020 period and we could see a few of them at the 2018 Auto Expo.
