Limited edition 2017 Ford GT ’66 Heritage is a carbon fiber collectible. Those desirous of this super model will have to log onto the company website and apply for the same.

It is being presented in color options of Shadow Black paint in either gloss or matte finish while the hood is accentuated by a silver stripe and carbon fiber parts.

Exteriors of the ’66 Heritage Edition receives hood and door graphics in Frozen White while it will sit on 20” one piece forged aluminum wheels finished in gold satin and clear coat with black lug nuts.

Interiors feature carbon fiber seats and pillowed inserts. It also gets Ebony leather encased steering wheel, instrument panel and headliner while gold accents are seen throughout its makeup on instrument panel, seat X-brace, and shift paddles.

“Celebrating the anniversary of Ford’s historic victories at Le Mans has always been a part of the return of the Ford GT,” said Raj Nair, Ford executive vice president, product development, and chief technical officer. “The 2017 Ford GT ’66 Heritage Edition is a stunning tribute to the car that kicked off Ford’s string of Le Mans victories in 1966.”

Engine specifications on the 2017 Ford GT ’66 Heritage Edition includes a 3.5 liter twin turbocharged V6 engine capable of 470kW of power and 731Nm torque gaining power over the GT 40 7.0 liter V8. Slated for sales in 2017 the limited edition model could be seen with a price tag well over the $400,000 mark.
