Thanks to the strong performance of the Creta, i20 and Grand i10, Hyundai India has registered a growth of 12.9% in the domestic market in the month of July 2016. The company’s cumulative sales witnessed a growth of 10%.

In terms of numbers, Hyundai India dispatched 41,201 units in the domestic market as against 36,503 units in July 2015. The South Korean automaker exported 14,606 units last month as against 13,908 units during the same period last year, a 5% increase.

The cumulative sales for the month of July 2016 stood at 55,807 units as against previous July’s 50,411 units. The company is approaching the festive season with the hope of boosting its sales volumes further.

A recent report suggested that Hyundai has sent an email to the dealer principals notifying them about the impending price hike of the Creta to the tune of INR 15,000. The price hike will be effective from September 1. Hyundai India usually implements price hike across its portfolio in Q3 in a bid to take into account rising input costs.

Speaking of input costs, the automakers have been suffering from soaring prices of steel, natural rubber, aluminium, and copper. So, there is a rich chance that Hyundai India will increase the price tags across its lineup during the festive season.
