Nissan Terrano AMT to garner more attention this festive season

Renault updated the Duster in India earlier this year with a 6-speed Easy-R AMT and the same gearbox is reported to be offered by the Nissan Terrano. The Terrano AMT is expected to be launched in the festive season.

Apart from the cosmetic upgrades and a new transmission, the Renault Duster facelift also received an upgraded electrical and electronics architecture and new CMO10 engine compartment for added safety.

We expect the Terrano AMT also to undergo same mechanical upgrades but visually, nothing much is gonna change. That said, Nissan’s version of the crossover could do with better trims, a touchscreen infotainment system, and automatic climate control system.

Like the Duster AMT, the Terrano AMT will be available with the 110 PS version of the 1.5-litre diesel engine. The 6-speed AMT unit will carry forward the manual transmission’s gear ratios. The Terrano is also available with a 1.6-litre petrol engine which produces 104 PS and an entry level 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 85 PS. Both these motors are paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Nissan Terrano AMT variant would help the automaker gain more attention in the festive season. As of now, Nissan India is offering the Terrano with benefits worth INR 80,000 along with an interest rate of 7.99%.
