UoH professor is Director of CSIR NCL, Pune
University of Hyderabad Chemistry professor Ashwini Nangia on Wednesday has been appointed as the Director of the CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory in Pune. CSIR-NCL is a science and knowledge based research, development and consulting organisation.
Hyderabad: University of Hyderabad Chemistry professor Ashwini Nangia on Wednesday has been appointed as the Director of the CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory in Pune. CSIR-NCL is a science and knowledge based research, development and consulting organisation.
It is internationally known for its excellence in scientific research in chemistry and chemical engineering as well as for its outstanding track record of industrial research involving partnerships with industry from concept to commercialisation.
The 1960-born Nangia, an alumnus of the IIT Kanpur, is at present with the School of Chemistry at the UoH. Post his PhD (1988), he worked in NOCIL Agrochemicals R&D Centre, Navi Mumbai for a year, and later joined the University in 1989.
