Anisa Butt, who has been a part of projects like ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Baat Bann Gayi’, was roped in to play an important role in ‘Half Girlfriend’, directed by Mohit Suri. The actress, who recently shot for her portion, couldn’t stop raving about shooting for the project.

“It’s a substantial role and I feel fortunate to be working with such a great team and production house. I play Rithvi, a working Indian woman, based in New York. I’m married to Vikrant Massey and we’re a happy go lucky couple.

Our plot unfolds in the second half and it was a great experience working for the project. Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun have been very supportive co-stars while director Mohit is a cool guy to work with. He knows what exactly he wants”, reveals the London-born and raised.

Anisa feels that she’s evolving as a better actor with each project. “After ‘Ishaan’, a musical drama became a big hit amongst kids; I started to grow in confidence and started working my way.

Working with Qaushiq Mukherjee for ‘Brahman Naman’, was an enriching experience; his unique vision compelled me to be part of this one. So each project is helping me pick up the nuances and evolve as a better actor and improve constantly,” says the actress, whose forefathers hail from Kashmir.
