The unique product is useful in eliminating unwanted pesticides and bacteria from fruits as well as vegetables
Prakruthik Healthcare Private Limited has launched NanoCleanse which is capable of eliminating unwanted pesticides and bacteria from fruits as well as vegetables. NanoCleanse, which is made of clay mineral nanopracticles and two other liquid ingredients, can easily remove residual pesticides and bacterial contamination. “Ever since synthetic pesticides and insecticides were first introduced in agricultural practice, food safety investigators have been concerned with the fate of residual chemicals persisting beyond the ambit of normal food processing. Washing, peeling and cooking have long been recognized as important, but not necessarily reliable, means of reducing the levels of pesticide residues from vegetables and fruits,” Prakruthik said in a release.
Agricultural crop cultivated by using pesticides are often accompanied by bacterial contamination as well. This problem is more prevalent in underground crops. “Several experimental approaches have substantiated the fact that normal washing does not reduce residual pesticide and bacterial contamination below permissible limits. Indeed, over the past 10 years, an increasing amount of residual contamination has been consistently found on raw agriculture produce,” the company added.
NanoCleanse comes handy in cleaning such contamination. Mineral ions in the product enable the cleaning solution to easily permeate fruits and vegetables before flushing out the toxins. “Vegetables and fruits washed with NanoCleanse therefore have a more distinctive organic quality and taste, eliminating all associated concerns arising from the presence of residual germs and toxins,” Prakruthik added.
