Hyderabad: Infotech Enterprises on Wednesday said it set up a new rolling stock and components (RSC) engineering centre in Bangalore for its longstanding partner Alstom Transport. On this occasion, the city-based software firm also signed a five-year framework agreement with Alstom for continued support. Infotech has been Alstom’s local engineering partner for more than eight years. The development of this commitment between Infotech and Alstom is the result of a close collaboration between sourcing and engineering teams.
“Through this key partnership with Alstom, Infotech is committed to providing support for its growth in the Asia Pacific region, where the company has an increasing amount of activity. Our goal is to create trusted partnerships with our customers in order to help them drive value in their organizations through continuous improvement in the areas of quality and productivity across the product life cycle,” said BVR Mohan Reddy, Founding Chairman, Infotech Enterprises.
The new RSC engineering centre will cover all the engineering areas, with particular focus on the mechanical section. In three years’ time, 350 people will be providing support for Alstom’s development plan in India. Subsequently, it will be able to provide support for all Alstom Transport sites.
