Inaugurating the branch, Mahesh Kumar Jain, the bank’s Executive Director, described Andhra Pradesh as one of the key regions for the bank, contributing around 9.5 per cent to its total business. “We have 279 branches in the State that cumulatively do Rs 23,700 crore business,” he said.
As on September 30 this year, the bank has a deposit base of Rs 9,700 crore and total advances stand at Rs 14,000 crore. “Our credit-deposit (CD) ratio in AP is 144.32 per cent which means Indian Bank is playing an important role as a development partner in the growth of the State,” Jain added.
