Hyderabad: The 10th annual summit of Society for Technology Management (STEM), which supports technology transfer professionals, has kicked off in the city on Thursday. Only platform in India for technology transfer professionals across industry and academia, STEM has, through such annual summits, been supporting technology transfer professionals in their endeavor to accelerate commercialisation of innovation.

“The technology transfer professionals are essential drivers of the ‘Make in India’ initiative by accelerating the commercialisation of research results and by creating economic impact through technology absorption for productive asset creation,” said K Vijayaraghavan, President, STEM. He also heads city-based Sathguru Management Consultants. The need for India to leapfrog in innovation to commercialization pathway is imminent.The professionals in technology management will play a dominant role in triggering such acceleration, he added.
