Independent software provider Informatica appointed Anil Chakravarthy as its Chief Executive Officer. For the past two quarters, he served as acting CEO and charted out plans for the next phase of growth for the company. 

Independent software provider Informatica appointed Anil Chakravarthy as its Chief Executive Officer. For the past two quarters, he served as acting CEO and charted out plans for the next phase of growth for the company.

Besides, the company had also released several products including Informatica v10 platform and Informatica Big Data Management during the period.

Chakravarthy joined Informatica in September 2013 as executive vice president and chief product officer. Prior to this, Chakravarthy held important leadership roles at Symantec Corporation for nearly a decade. Before Symantec, he handled product management at VeriSign.

He started his career at McKinsey & Company. In addition to this appointment, the software company also made several other senior appointments. Bruce Chizen, who has been a member of the company’s Board and a special advisor to it, will assume the role of Executive Chairman. He will work closely with the leadership team on strategic priorities.

The company also appointed Jim Davis as chief marketing officer (CMO). Prior to this, Davis was the executive vice president and chief marketing officer of SAS, a leading provider of analytics solutions, where he was responsible for the global strategic direction and marketing vision for SAS products, solutions and services. Davis was responsible for the SAS brand and also oversaw a number of operational business units at SAS.
