The Global CSR Summit & Awards 2016, recognized as Asia’s most prestigious event and awards on Corporate Social responsibility took place on 17th February-18th February, 2016 in Mumbai. The Founder of Mailhem Engineers and Executive Director of Mailhem Ikos, Lt Col Suresh Rege (Retd.) won the Lifetime Achievement award at the event. Mailhem Ikos, a Pune-based solid waste management company was nominated in the Awards under the section of Global Green Future Leadership Awards for this year.

Headed by Lt Colonel (Retd.) Suresh Rege and his son Sameer Rege, Mailhem Ikos has set up more than 300 plants across the country. Speaking on the award, Colonel Rege said, “This is an esteemed platform for all the individuals/organizations who are striving to make our nation cleaner and greener with every passing day. It is a humbling experience for me to be recognized for this category. I would like to specially thank my entire team at Mailhem Ikos. They are the backbone behind Mailhem Ikos’s success every year. Over the last two decades, we have worked hard to advocate the message of waste to wealth, and this recognition is a proud moment for each one of us.”

Mailhem, along with the JV French Partner Lhotellier Ikos Group, is currently in the process of setting up large size waste-to-energy plants, bioreactor cells and carrying out the capping of dumpsites. Founded in Pune nearly 20 years back, the company has set up plants for the Pune Municipal Corporation at Katraj, Aundh, and Yerwada along with corporates such as Tata, Bajaj, ITC, TCS and UltraTech. Mailhem Ikos has setup and managed plants across the country – working with governments and corporates from the country.
