Ramesh Datla elected CII South chief
Ramesh Datla, Chairman and Managing Director, city-based ELICO Ltd, on Wednesday was elected as Chairman for Southern Region of the industry body Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for the period 2016-17.
Hyderabad: Ramesh Datla, Chairman and Managing Director, city-based ELICO Ltd, on Wednesday was elected as Chairman for Southern Region of the industry body Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for the period 2016-17.
Vikram Kirloskar, Vice-Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, was chosen as Deputy Chairman for the same period. Both were elected at the first meeting of the CII’s Southern Regional Council held in Chennai on Wednesday, according to a statement from the industry body.
Before the elevation, Datla held in various responsibilities in CII, including as the Past Chairman, CII National Committee. Kirloskar was Past Chairman of CII Innovation Council and Global Innovation and Technology Alliance Board. He has been a member of CII National Council since 2012.
