You can now share it on Affimity!Affimity, the latest social networking startup today announced the launch of two new channels on their platform – Startups and Make in India. The launch is an initiative to promote awareness soon after the action plan was announced by PM Narendra Modi.

Affimity which is an interest based platform has several channels such as Food, Movies, TV shows, Politics, Fitness, Music and many more. The two new channels will facilitate entrepreneurs and readers alike to read and share interesting posts and articles that could be of use to their peers. Users can also use these channels to connect with people within their circle of interest.

Speaking on the launch, Parveen Mittal, Co-Founder and Country Manager - India, Affimity said “With two new channels on our platform, people can now share posts and articles related to start-ups that could be useful for every entrepreneur or anyone who inspires to be one. Unlike your Facebook and Twitter, we provide our users a fully integrated experience to communicate and share interesting posts with others who share the same interest.”

“The aim of our platform is to connect likeminded people, to categorize their interests so that it becomes easier for them to discuss and read posts/articles based ONLY on their interests. Affimity aims to take the clutter out of social media and build a platform based solely on interest,” added Parveen.

The channels have already received over 11k followers and the company is looking forward to making these channels, a powerful and effective platform for the startup community.

Launched in 2014, Affimity currently has users in USA, Asia, Africa and other countries with over 40+ channels and over a million users. It is also a prime platform for bloggers to share their articles and connect with their followers.

The company aims to reach a target of 10 million global user base by December 2016, with India contributing to about 40%of that user base.
