Healthcare provider KIMS Hospitals on Wednesday said it doubled bed capacity to 200 at its healthcare facility in Kondapur, the fast-growing IT corridor of Hyderabad. The company invested nearly Rs 100 crore till now for the existing set-up and the new expansion. 

Hyderabad: Healthcare provider KIMS Hospitals on Wednesday said it doubled bed capacity to 200 at its healthcare facility in Kondapur, the fast-growing IT corridor of Hyderabad. The company invested nearly Rs 100 crore till now for the existing set-up and the new expansion.

With the addition of the new beds, the total capacity of KIMS Hospitals in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh had increased to 2,100 beds. “Madhapur-Kondapur-Gachibowli-Miyapur stretch is the fastest-growing region of Hyderabad.

With the influx of large population, demand of quality healthcare has gone up sharply. KIMS Hospitals understands the need and potential in this corridor. Our initial effort to build a 100-bed facility has received overwhelming response, and soon there was a need to expand,” said Dr Abhinay Bollineni, Vice-President, Strategy, KIMS.

With presence in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, KIMS hospitals is now spreading its footprint across the country by establishing hospitals in Guwahati, Bhubaneswar and Indore, the healthcare provider said in a release.
