Parasu Raman R, Chairman, CII-Green Products and Services Council, said: “Today, India is one of the global leaders in Green practices with a building footprint of 5.2 billion sft. It is likely to double in the next five years. This has created enormous demand for credible green building products, materials and technologies.

The market potential in India for green products such as materials and technologies is estimated to be Rs18,00,000 crore. To unleash this potential, CII has GreenPro adopts life cycle-based approach for evaluating the products. It helps customers to make an informed choice to buy eco-friendly building products.”

To create awareness on green products and policies, it’s hosting the GreenPro Summit 2018 on 17-18 April 2018 Hyderabad. The Conference will have all the key stakeholders from the building sector such as GreenPro manufacturers, builders, product specifiers, etc. These stakeholders will debate on the challenges, opportunities and the way forward for facilitating Green Product market transformation in the Country.

C Shekar Reddy, Chairman, IGBC-Hyderabad Chapter and Managing Director, CSR Estates Ltd, said: “With the support of Telangana Government and GHMC, CII would play a catalytic role in facilitating the product manufactures in Telangana to adopt Green concepts and make their products Green.”

S Srinivas, Deputy Executive Director, CII-Godrej GBC, said that Green Building movement in India has facilitated in developing products and technologies which are ecologically superior and economically viable.
