Its proximity to the airport, lower rentals and availability of land parcels is making these areas as warehousing corridors and the city a strategic location, said a HR service company.

According to a report by TeamLease, the logistics sector in India will see a growth of 10.5per cent CAGR citing GST implementation as the main factor and subsequent investment coupled with the infrastructure status. A growth of the industry will create around 196,000 new jobs in Hyderabad and over three million across the country in the next four years.

Sudeep Sen, Assistant Vice President, TeamLease Services, said “initiatives such as the construction of four model road corridors in Hyderabad, infrastructure creation of multimodal parks, adoption of new technologies and path breaking innovations in the logistics subsector will boost opportunities and act as a catalyst in creating jobs here.”

While courier services sub-sector will see a growth of 11,000 incremental jobs., the warehousing division will create 7,000 and packaging sub-sector will add 3,000 incremental jobs over the next four years.
