Nasscom Foundation, the nonprofit organisation of trade body National Association of Software and Services Company Nasscom on Wednesday organised its CSR Leadership Conference

Hyderabad: Nasscom Foundation, the non-profit organisation of trade body National Association of Software and Services Company (Nasscom) on Wednesday organised its CSR Leadership Conference.

With CSR law completing five year, the organisation set the platform to deliberate on past CSR interventions and to discuss on new approaches for the same.

The event brought together over 200 CEOs, CXOs, CSR heads and HR officials of the top companies from across various industries along with NGO leaders, government officials, thought leaders, Tech4good champions and social innovators.

“Hyderabad is one of the fastest growing Technology hubs in India and has incredible potential for using technology for social good. The companies here have always been at the forefront of CSR, and we hope to encourage and enable this practice further through this CSR Leadership Conference,” said Shrikant Sinha, CEO, Nasscom Foundation.

He further added that the event was a platform for corporates, NGOs and the government to come together and focus towards creating an impact by using technology as an enabler.

Wherein the theme for the day was to re-calibrate employability through CSR to make India ready for the new age jobs. Besides, the CLC deliberated on how companies can tackle the challenges of developing a robust infrastructure for sustainable and agile education system, said the organisation in a statement.

Further, it partnered with Telangana to build responsible practices in e-waste. Wherein the representatives from regulatory agencies, the Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) and Commercial Tax Department presented the provision as mandated by the e-waste management rules and other regulations applicable to the same.
