Hyderabad: Here is good news for all those suffering pulmonary disorders like asthma. City-based Bluewater Alkaline Solutions on Monday launched portable oxygen can which comes handy when there is an urgent requirement of oxygen. Priced at Rs 650 and weighing just 120 grams, Oxy99 can be used for 150 inhalations with a shelf life of two years. “With increasing pollution levels, the number of people suffering from respiratory disorders like asthma is on the rise.
This product will be of immense use to them. It can also be used for medical emergencies like cardiac arrest,” Kalisetti Naidu, Chairman and Managing Director, Bluewater Alkaline Solutions, told the media here. The product will be available for sale at 100 stores across Telangana.
The company tied up with Delhi-based Delhi Cryogenic Products Ltd to distribute the can and other products in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Delhi Cryogenic has a manufacturing plant in the national capital, which produces oxygen cans and cylinders using patented technology licensed from Italy’s ING L&G Boschi. “We have launched these products in 12 states so far. We are selling 1.5 lakh units a month through retail network, with Delhi accounting for 20 per cent,” said Shiv Sharma, Zonal Manager, Delhi Cryogenic.
