Amaravati: A 17-member Netherlands delegation led by ambassador Marten Van Den Berg and Head of Economic section Michael Bierkens met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here on Tuesday and evinced interest to partner with AP govt in IT, Infrastructure, providing quality work force, AP innovation society, people connect, off-shore wind forms, good policy, solid waste management and waste to energy sectors.

The Netherlands ambassador Marten Van den Berg explained the Chief Minister on areas of interest to cooperate with AP Govt. He said they want to strengthen economic ties with AP state. He said both AP and Netherlands have many similarities.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu explained the opportunities of investments in the state and advantages including industry-friendly atmosphere in the state. He said AP is ahead in real time governance, IT and zero budget natural farming. He said using technology, the state government is able to track the Pethai cyclone successfully, which helped to minimise the damage. He explained the progress in using solar energy in the state.

He sought the cooperation of Netherlands delegation in knowledge transfer, skill development and employability skills.
Interacting with the Chief Minister Anurag Chaturvedi of Kaba company said that they possess technology where the roads can be repaired and re-laid using the existing material mixed with a binding compound which was faster and stronger.

Vijay Tanikella, a native of Repalle and working with Van Oord explained on technology to implement off shore wind energy. Sujit Kumar of Mavitec company explained on expertise to convert meat and fish waste into multiple byproducts and Sridhar of DSM company offered their expertise in fortification of rice with vitamins for distribution. The Chief Minister asked the delegates to implement their pilot projects in the state and the government would extend necessary cooperation.

Meanwhile, a Chinese delegation came forward to set up a steel plant in Andhra Pradesh. The delegation met Naidu here on Tuesday and gave a presentation on their project proposals. They said that they are ready to set up steel plant with 7000 metric tonnes capacity per annum and appealed the CM for allotment of necessary land. They said that they are interested in setting up the steel plant in AP. The Chief Minister asked the Chinese delegation to come prepared with their proposals and assured cooperation from state government.
