lordTirumala: On the second day of the ongoing three-day annual Vasanthotsavam, the processional deity Lord Malayappa Swamy flanked by His two Consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi seated majestically atop a dazzling and finely decorated golden chariot were taken on a celestial procession around four Mada streets at Tirumala on Wednesday morning. Thousands of devotees witnessed the colourful procession with religious fervor by dragging the chariot around the Mada streets encircling the holy shrine chanting Govinda Namas. The air was charged with the chanting of various names of the Lord by the devotees as the procession passed by much to the rhythmic beat of the traditional temple drums. Temple priests performed 'Snapana Tirumanjanam' (Celestial Bath) to the processional deity of Lord Malayappa Swamy and His consorts at Vasantha Mandapam on the second day of ongoing three day Annual Vasanthotsavam at Tirumala in the afternoon. TTD JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju, ACVSO Sivakumar Reddy, Temple Deputy EO Chinnamgari Ramana, Temple Peishkar Rama Rao, Engineers Ramesh Reddy, Krishna Reddy and other officials also took part in this religious fete. Large number of devotees took part in the procession. TTD has cancelled Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva following Vasanthotsavam.
