lordTirumala: Jyesthabhishekam, a three-day annual festival at Tirumala temple, has begun on a ceremonial note here on Thursday. On the occasion, the deities of Lord Malayappa Swamy, Sri Devi and Bhudevi were given celestial bath. This special ceremony was performed between 8 am to 11 am. This festival is performed every year for a period of three days in the month of Jyestha and concludes on Jyestha Nakshatra.

Lord Malayappaswamy along with His consorts adorned with Vajra Kavacham were taken out in procession on the first day of the ongoing three-day annual Jyesthabhisekham in Srivari temple, Tirumala on Thursday evening. TTD EO LV Subramanyam, JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju, Deputy EO Temple Sri Chinnamgari Ramana, and other officials participated in the festival.

Change in timings for Suprabhata, Abhisheka sevas for today

The TTD administration has decided to change the timings of Suprabhata and Abhisheka Sevas for Friday. The new timing would only be implemented for Friday in the three-day annual Jyesthabhishekam festival that started on Thursday.

The Suprabhata Seva will be conducted at 2.00 am, which is usually at 3.00 am. The grihasta pilgrims were requested to report by 1.00 am while the Abhisheka Seva, which usually commences by 4.30 am, will commence by 3.30 am and the grihasta pilgrims are requested to report by 2.00am.

The pilgrims were requested to make note of the temporary change in the timings of Suprabhatam and Abhishekam sevas on Friday and report on time as suggested at VQC-1 accordingly.
