Tirupati: The Tirupati legislator Bhumana Karunakar Reddy inaugurated the '5K Run' by flagging it off at Kapilateertham circle here on Sunday. It was organised by Chittoor District Athletic Association in coordination with some voluntary organisations on the occasion of the 'World Health Day'. The Run started at Kapilateertham circle and reached there by passing through Anna Rao Circle, KT Road, TTD Administrative Building and Municipal Office. Tirupati Revenue Divisional Officer Y. Ramachandra Reddy and few others participated in the event. Speaking on the occasion, Karunakar Reddy said that nowadays the physical exercise has become the least important activity for many in their daily life. Regular physical exercise is necessary and people should allocate certain time for it every day. TTD Trust Board's former member OV Ramana and about 300 local people participated in this event.
