Tirupati: After a gap of 12 days, schools will be reopened and students will be attending classes from Monday onwards. By taking into consideration, the completion of syllabus and requests from parents the Private Schools Association has taken a decision to reopen the schools. At a meeting held here on Sunday, the Association took a decision to conduct classes for only half-a-day till the Union Government declares that the State will remain united.

The association has resolved to run schools daily from 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm everyday rather than the regular timings from morning to evening. As all the teachers and students are actively participating in Samaikyandhra agitations, the protests will continue from morning to afternoon and followed by classes.

Speaking to The Hans India, Chittoor Private Schools Association secretary KS Vasu said that all the teachers are actively participating in Samaikyandhra agitations and were hopeful of completing the syllabus on time despite the agitations taking place across the Rayalaseema region. For LKG and UKG students, the classes would be over by 4.00 pm and for higher standards classes will be till 6.00 pm every day, he added.

After speaking to the members of the Samaikyandhra JAC and others over the adverse impact on classes due to the agitations, the association has decided to run the classes half-a-day in all private schools for one week and a specific decision would be taken after reviewing the situation, he explained.
