‘CM to float a new political party’

Tirupati: “I had strong signals from few Congress leaders, who are loyal to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, that he would be floating a new political party with the single objective of Samaikyandhra to keep his vote bank intact,” alleged former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy.

Speaking with the media at Tirupati on Saturday, he accused that the CM was aware of the formation of Telangana State much before its official announcement by CWC and the UPA government and thus betrayed Seemandhra people. The CM who didn’t oppose the Congress high command over T issue now took a ‘U’ turn after seeing the opposition of Seemandhra people and was giving such statements in favour of Samaikyandhra only to gain their sympathy, he pointed.

Lashing out at Telugu Desam Party, Peddireddy said party chief N Chandrbabu Naidu is trying to lure the people by praising the sentiments of Seemandhra people. He stressed that YSR Congress Party is the only political party that is favouring Samaikyandhra. YSRCP leader Sharmila is launching her ‘Bus Yatra’ from her father and late YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s memorial ghat at Idupulapaya, from September 2, his death anniversary and she has chosen to start this yatra from Tirupati, which is auspicious place and political hub, he said.

Sharmila will address a public meeting at Leela Mahal Circle on September 2 and will cover Chittoor, Palamaneru, Kuppam, Madanapalle and few other towns in Chittoor district, he added.
